What is the deal

What I'm wondering what is with Sunningrocks that would make Thunderclan and Riverclan fight over it so much. I mean, basically all it does is just sit there. It's only use is sunning on the occasionally warm day or for hunting a few mice. The reason probably has something to do with history of Sunningrocks. So, long ago Sunningrocks was an island in the middle of the river so only Riverclan cats could reach it. Then I guess in a drought or something the water receded and then Thunderclan could easily reach Sunningrocks no swimming included. Thunderclan probably jumped at the possibility to get huge rocks to sun on and thus attacked Riverclan. When Thunderclan took Sunningrocks, Riverclan wanted them back and then it just continued. Sunningrocks bounced back in forth between Thunderclan, Riverclan, Thunderclan, Riverclan, just on and on. It only stopped when all the clans had to move to the lake.
