Can Mapleshade and Ashfur switch places?

We all know Mapleshade: the crazy cat who randomly murdered a bunch of people. But does she really deserve to go to the dark forest? She had three kits with a cat from Riverclan, and was banished from Thunderclan for it. She tried to bring the kits over the river so their father could take them, and they drown crossing the river. She still goes to Riverclan, to tell the father, and he rejects her. Mad with grief, Mapleshade kills him and other people she believed were responsible for the death of her kits. Although she brutaly killed people, she might not have been in her right mind. Was it right to put her into the dark forest
